About Us

Denise Paula Martinez, R.N. a registered nurse and a former Philippine Ice Skating Team Instructor founded Pita Travel and Tours back in 2011 as a “travel resource company.”

A self-confessed “born atrevida,” Denise single-handedly organized an overseas competition for her students bound for Beijing, China in 2006. She precisely organized everything down from the routines of her students to booking their flights, hotels and tours. It made her feel deeply satisfied and fulfilled. At that time, Denise was still in college and although financially incapable, she then decided that someday she will have her very own travel agency.

Denise focused on her studies and eventually, the dream of owning a travel agency pushed at the back of her mind. She earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing and subsequently passed the board exams.

Five years later, after living for a while in the U.S. and after countless attempts of working conventional jobs, she came back to the Philippines and worked again as an instructor for the Philippine Ice Skating Team. Denise once more found herself meddling with the Team's overseas competition. That feeling of deep satisfaction and fulfillment she felt in 2006 came rushing back. Right after that trip, she then announced to her family that she will be putting up a travel agency. She risked and took all her savings, and she even asked her brother, Dikki, to shell out funds for the business. The name PITA came from their youngest sisters' nickname.

At first, Pita Travel and Tours was a home-based company that catered to relatives and friends. It was not all-smooth sailing nor an instant success. But, upon building its network based on trust and credibility, Pita Travel and Tours managed to survive the cut-throat world of travel and tourism industry. And now, Pita Travel and Tours not only caters to individual bookings but also organizes travel for private companies and government offices as well as clients in both local and foreign markets.

On January 2018, after 6 years in home-based operation, Pita Travel and Tours moved forward and obtained a commercial space located at Unit 203 RVGS Commercial Bldg. 84 Gloria Diaz St., BF Resort Village, Las Piñas City.
